1/2 cup of butter
1/2 Tsp. salt
garlic powder
1 1/2 lbs. of raw shrimp
garlic butter
3 cups cream
3 cups chicken broth

bay leaf
2 Tbsp. flour
1/3 cup milk

In a large saucepan melt 1/2 cup of butter; add 1/2 Tsp. salt and a bit of garlic powder. Clean and chop 1 1/2 lbs. of raw shrimp. Simmer shrimp in the garlic butter for 5 minutes. Blend 3 cups of warm cream with 3 cups of chicken broth and stir into the shrimp mixture. Add salt, pepper and a bay leaf and keep just at simmering point for 20 minutes …do not boil. Just before serving, stir in 2 Tbsp. of flour blended with 1/3 cup of milk. Cook for 3 minutes. Garnish with chives.
