Going To Be Kullanımı

Gelecek zamanda yapılması planlanan işleri ifade etmek için İngilizce'de yaygın olarak "be going to"  kalıbı da kullanılır. Be going to kalıbı ile cümle kurmak için, özne, sonra ifade edilen şahısa uygun be going to çekimi ile cümle tamamlanır.

&#;to be going to&#; yapısı ile gelecek zaman konu anlatımı 

FORM OF NEAR FUTURE TENSE (YAPISI):

Near future tense’de I ile am; he, she, it ile is; we, you, they ile are yardımcı fiilleri kullanılır. Fiilden önce going to getirilir. Fiil takı almadan yani mastar haliyle gelir:

USE OF NEAR FUTURE TENSE (KULLANIMI):

1. Going to future tense, şimdiki zamanda görülen veya hissedilen etkilerinden dolayı olacağı belirgin olan gelecek eylemler için kullanılır. Çoğu zaman bu eylemler yakın gelecekle ilgili olduğundan bu tense, near future tense (yakın gelecek zaman) olarak adlandırılır.

Look at those black clouds. It’s going to rain.

(Şu kara bulutlara bak. Yağmur yağacak)

Look out! You’re going to fall down.

(Dikkat et. Düşeceksin)

It is getting fast. The plane is going to take off.

İngilizce konuşma dilinde &#;going to&#;  kısaltılıp &#;gonna&#; olarak kullanılır.

Örneğin:

I am going to go.

demek yerine:

I&#;m gonna go.

denir. Söylemesi daha kolay olduğu için bu şekilde tercih edilmiştir. Yalnızca resmi olmayan, günlük konuşma dilinde kullanılır.

İngilizcede was / were going to kullanımı, geçmişte yaptığımız ve gerçekleşmemiş veya gelecekte gerçekleşmeyecek olan planları anlatmak üzerinedir.

⭐ Bahsi geçen işin gerçekleşmediği bilindiğinde kullanılır:

-She was going to school when she remembered that it was a holiday.
Tam okula gidecekti ki tatil olduğunu hatırladı.
-I was going to work that job, but I found a better one.
O işte çalışacaktım ama daha iyisini buldum.
-She was going to come to Ankara, but at the last moment, she decided to go to Antalya.
Ankara’ya gelecekti ama son anda Antalya’ya gitmeye karar verdi.

⭐ Geçmişte yapılan planları ifade ederken kullanılır:

-I was just going to make a cup of coffee.
Sadece bir fincan kahve yapacaktım.
-I was going to buy a mobile phone, but I couldn’t.
Cep telefonu alacaktım ama alamadım.
-I was going to go on vacation but it was banned due to corona measures.
Tatile gidecektim ama korona önlemleri nedeniyle yasaklandı.

⭐ Geçmişte daha sonra olacak bir başka geçmiş olayı ifade ederken kullanılır.

-Anna told me he was going to stay with her parents over the weekend.
Anna hafta sonu anne babasıyla kalacağını söyledi.
-The film I watched at the cinema wasn’t quite as good as I thought it was going to be.
Sinemada izlediğim film, olacağını düşündüğüm kadar iyi değildi.
-If I had known it was going to be so difficult, I would never have agreed to do it.
Bu kadar zor olacağını bilseydim, asla kabul etmezdim.
