Yörede “çanta ev" olarak anılan eski tip yayla evlerinin halen varlığını sürdürdüğü Kızık Yaylası, Gerenözü Yaylası ve Haccağız Yaylası gibi bilinen yaylaların yanı sıra özellikle Seben Gölü etrafında bulunan Dedeler, Alpagut, Solaklar ve Kozyaka gibi yaylalar göl ile birlikte daha da revaç bulmaya başlamıştır.

Eskiden sadece bir gelenek olarak devam eden ve hayvancılıkla bağımlı olarak görülen yayla kültürü, son yıllarda turizm hareketliliğinin artması ile birlikte dinlenme, temiz hava ve sağlıklı yaşam gibi konular nedeniyle de tercih edilir hale gelmiştir. Seben-Bolu yolu üzerinde özellikle Seben Gölü'nün bulunduğu yer olan Taşlıyayla etrafında ve Seben- Kıbrıscık yol ayrımından sonra Kıbrıscık'a giderken çok sayıda yayla görme imkanı vardır. Kızık Yaylası da Seben-Bolu yolu üzerindedir ve Bolu'ya 25 kilometre uzaklıktadır.

Seben Gölü’nün etrafı, yaylara yakın alanlar, Kızık Yaylası kenarı ile eski Seben Yolu'nun geçtiği Zincirlikuyu mevkisi piknik alanı olarak tercih edilmektedir.

"This hotel was clean and our double room was very spacious. The rooms have apartment doors which made it very safe. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was plentiful, fresh and tasty. We asked for a non-smoking room and were pleasantly surprised when we were reminded that smoking in the room was not permitted. The only thing we would suggest is that the hotel consider placing signs in non-smoking rooms to remind all guests that smoking there is not permitted. "
