Best Answer: Use the tall pan with insert pan and base pan.
2. You will need two boxes of cake mix. Mix one box as
directed and pour the batter to the bottom of the fill line on the inside of the tall pan. Do not overfill.
3. Place the insert pan over the tall pan and secure by turning clockwise until the handles are aligned and locked
into place. Do not add batter to the insert pan.
4. Make the second box of cake mix and pour half of the batter from the second cake mix into the base pan. Pan
should not be more than half full. (You can use the remaining batter for whatever you like, including cupcakes)
5. Bake the base cake at 350 degrees F for 28-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Bake the
tall cake at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes.
6. Cool the base cake at least 5 minutes and remove it from the pan. Cool the tall cake at least 20 minutes and
leave it in the pan.
7. Turn the insert pan counter-clockwise, lift off the insert pan and set aside. Do not remove tall cake from pan.
8. Fill cavity of tall cake with filling as desired. Place the base cake and tall cake in the freezer.
9. When ready to serve, place base cake over filled tall cake. Place a serving plate down over the top of both
cakes and carefully invert to turn the cake onto the plate. If necessary, trim the sides of the base cake. Frost and
decorate as desired.

Some Suggested Fillings:
1. Prepare batter following directions on the box or for your own recipe.
2. Pour batter into Tall Pan up to the fill line on the inside of the pan.
3. Place Insert Pan on top of Tall Pan and twist to lock in to place. (Insert Pan will remain empty.)
4. Pour remaining batter in to Base Pan up to the fill line.
5. Bake both the Tall Pan and Base Pan at 350. The Base cake will bake for 20-25 minutes and the Tall Cake
will bake for 50-55 minutes.
6. Cool Base Cake in pan for 5 minutes and Tall Cake in pan for 20 minutes.
7. Turn Insert Pan counter-clockwise; lift off Insert Pan and set aside. Do not remove cake from pan.
8. Fill hollow center with filling as directed in your recipe.
9. Place Base Cake over the filled Tall Cake. Place a serving plate upside down over the top of the cakes and
carefully invert to turn cake on to plate.
10. Frost and decorate as desired.
