Standard objects are visual and non-visual objects used for visualizing video, playing audio or changing properties of other objects. Non-visual objects unlike visual ones are not displayed on the scene.

Standard objects:

• sprite
• duplicate
• line
• rectangle
• ellipse
• text
• tool-tip
• cursor
• image file
• audio file
• video file
• movement object

These properties are general to all standard objects:

Type – the type of an object. This property cannot be changed after an object is created.

Object name – the name of an object. Should be unique in a current scene.

Visible – visibility of an object. Determines if an object is visible on the scene or not.

Locked – this parameter allows you to lock the object in the editor and prevent changing of it with mouse in the editor window.

Coordinates – object’s coordinates (not applicable to non-visual objects)

Left/X1 – X-coordinate of the left side of an object.

Top/Y1 – Y-coordinate of the top side of an object.

Width/X2 – the width of an object, or X-coordinate of the right side of an object.

Height/Y2 – the height of an object, or Y-coordinate of the bottom side of an object.

Creating time:

Time – time when an object is displayed or starts acting.

Lock to parent – this parameter specifies should the creating time change if the duration of the parent object has changed.

• No – the display/act time of an object remains the same if the duration of the parent object has changed
• Yes – this value ties the display/act time to the duration of the parent object

Removing time:

Duration – the duration of the display/act time of an object.

Lock to parent – this parameter specifies should the duration change if the duration of the parent object has changed.

• No - the display/act duration of an object remains the same if the duration of the parent object has changed
• Yes - this value ties the display/act duration to the duration of the parent object 

The list of standard object properties contains the “Resize to parent size” button. If you click this button, the object is resized to the current scene’s size, while X- and Y-coordinates are set to zero.
