Lyrics:
A Wispy Wispy Snow Falls (İnce İnce Bir Kar Yağar)
a wispy wispy snow falls onto the poor
Why does destiny scorn the word of the impoverished?
We died here from hunger
Please please sir don't go on like this.
Does it kill a man if you built us a school
if you give us roads and water?
(not sure about the meaning of this line)
No one is born a master a landlord from their parents
Come on now, let's share and live together peacefully
Please don't think I hold you in contempt.
We burned out, we died from this hunger inside
Please please don't do this to us sir
Would it kill someone if roads were built
if there was a school here, a fountain
a doctor comes to town, perhaps an engineer follows
please please please please
Istanbul is nothing like the Urfas of Turkey (Urfa is a poor rural town)
Why don't you come and take a look at these roads swallowed in mire.
It is a shame that in this day and age we are still to live like this.
So this is the way things are, and this is how we feel
but please sir don't get upset please.
My sorrow is paramount, so hear it ringing over the mountains
Read our history and see how there were better times in the past.
One day you too will become familiar with the way the world is
this is the life, this is mankind, this is nature
please take notice, please.
We saw it all, so please don't go on sir
Would it kill someone if a soul loved
if hunger was satiated, if health was restored
if we shared if the doctors came to help
if roads were built, please please please
